A major conference is being planned to tell the story of the strike to the people of Elkhart, Musicians and historians. The conference is being put on by the “Labor Video Project” & the War Zone Education Foundation both out of California. A team of professionals will be coming with an array of equiptment to capture the stories of the struggle. The main purpose of the gathering would be to share what was learned for the struggle with a hostile negotiating style and what members would suggest other labor workers do to succeed.
Some of the events could be:
- Speakers: Including ranking organized labor officials, politicians, professors and spokespersons of similar struggles.
- Film Fest with all of the footage taken from the labor dispute.
- Take away material.
- Discussion groups, lecture power points and slide shows of pictures.
