What no post here and it’s been two days? I thought many would have seen the obvious. So lets stop here, take a chair and look back at the famous Conn Selmer Strike initially started when President John Stoner sent out a letter before the contract’s end that said, “We have found an Asian manufacture who…at a fraction of the cost .”  That, “if we outsourced student line instruments (TR-300H at $1,030.00 WWBW) it would only be a matter of time before step up and pro lines are similarly affected”.

Steinway could move production over seas and increase gross profits by 7 million a year. Stoner’s proposal would affect not wages but also how you were going to perform the job.

Steven Wasser says he is moving the Sonare trumpet (Model 800 selling for $1,700.00 at WWBW) from Germany and Taiwan to Elkhart. Wasser says, ““One of the reasons that we have a commitment to expand our facility in Elkhart is the infrastructure of skilled workers”and, “improving Blessing’s bottom line by building its export business”

I guess Mr. Wasser would be hoping to improve his gross margin by possibly 7 million producing right here in Elkhart!

Ford workers fought against UAW to not take concessions, and they were right, Ford announced big profits.

Conn Selmer “Vincent Bach” workers fought against Steinway to not take concessions because there were profits to be made and Powell coming to Elkhart proves that point.

End of story!
